Anna Christine: four days

At just four days old, Anna, who weighs all of about six pounds, was enough to melt my heart! SO tiny and SO precious!! We had fun dressing her up and using all her little accessories, including my favorite... her purple and white hat (yes, I'm a Wildcat!). Here's a little look at Anna and her very proud mom and dad... 

I love putting new babies in their dad's arms... shows just how small they are!

This photo is my favorite from the entire session! There's just something about that expression she's got, and I love the way she's all snuggled up!

first day of spring... REALLY?

Well, spring officially begins this weekend, and what do we have to show for it? More snow! Doesn't seem very springy to me! I've heard lots of complaints today about this weather, and yes, some of those complaints have come from me. But there is one girl who woke up this morning and was thrilled to step off the front porch into several inches of cold, white powder... my Riley dog! She LOVEs the snow as much as I love laying on the beach under the hot sun! So instead of sitting inside all morning sulking about the low temps and the seemingly never-ending snow falling from the sky, I decided to grab my camera and indulge in Riley's love of winter! Maybe these images will inspire you as well to enjoy what I hope is our last snowfall of the season :)

Jude Michael: eight days

The most content baby I've met... Jude Michael :) Thinking of my session with him just makes me smile. He was wide awake for the majority of the photo shoot, very alert, and never once fussed. He is just happy as can be! I was able to visit him just 8 days after his birthday. Here's a glimpse at the handsome little guy...






Jude sure did yawn an awful lot, but he just wouldn't let himself fall asleep too long and miss out on the action!

Jude is one lucky little boy to have this wonderful mom! I think I loved capturing some moments of them together even more than the fun little poses we did with him!

BHS Dance Team

Ah, memories... Spending time with these girls brought back some of my memories from high school cheerleading! Such good times! Here is a little glimpse at their photo shoot... (And to the dance team- thanks for braving the cold air with me! Your gorgeous faces made for some stunning shots!)

Jack!

This weekend I spent some time with this energetic little guy! A little over a year ago, I photographed Jack when he was just a month old. My cousin Brooke and her husband Bryan brought Jack to my place this time, and we reminisced about that shoot. Jack was pretty fussy that day, so they got out the vacuum (yes, the vacuum!) to soothe him and put him to sleep. It was the only white noise that seemed to do the trick :) Well, this time around, he was definitely in a much better mood... and instead of a vacuum, it was some yummy cookies that won him over!

Most kiddos aren't shy about getting up close and personal with my camera lens, and I just keep on shooting. Sometimes these turn out to be my favorites!

MaeLeigh: seven days

I had the honor of spending the morning with this sweet girl just one week after her big arrival! She set a new personal record for how long she stayed awake, but our patience eventually paid off. Once this girl fell asleep, she did great! I got so many shots of this beauty that it made it very difficult to choose which ones to share. Here is a look at some of my favorites, as well as a couple of announcement cards that were so much fun to create!
