Cameron's First Birthday!

Cameron is turning ONE! This was such a fun photo session!! I went to high school with Cameron's mom Adria, and not only was it good to catch up with her, but also to get to watch Cameron try out some birthday cake! Before we brought out the cake, we met up at the park to take some family photos. Check out this beautiful family!

I asked Adria and Will to give Cameron a big smooch, and Cameron quickly returned the favor to mom...

Seriously, how cute is he!?!

Yay! Time for CAKE!! (This awesome cake was made by Icings By Ang! Check out the blog post below for more details!)

The edible number one from the top of the cake made for a pretty good teether! :)

Thanks Adria and Will for asking me to take these photos! I had a blast!!

Icings By Ang!

I couldn't help but post about this fabulous cake! This was my first time ordering from Icings By Ang, and she did not disappoint! Angela, owner of the cake biz, has got some mad talent when it comes to baking and creating works of art. If you are looking for a cool dessert for any event- wedding cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes, cookies, beautiful chocolate covered strawberries- she does it all! She made this mini birthday cake for a first birthday photo session. It looked so perfect, I made sure to snap some photos before it got torn apart! If you like this cake, be sure to look up Icings By Ang on Facebook here, and become a fan today! Don't do facebook? Check out more photos of her awesome creations on Flickr!

After the shoot...

Angela, thanks for making such a great cake!

Jackson Ryne: seven days

Meet Jackson! I had the pleasure of capturing this tiny, handsome guy at just seven days old! He slept like a rock through most of the shoot, which made things pretty darn easy for me. And, as much as I love my purple, I have to admit that he looked just too cute in his KU hat! Here are just a few of the many adorable images of Mr. Jackson Ryne...

The Weber Family

This was a morning full of kids, tears, smiles, doughnuts, gold fish, and photos!! I think the tears came first, but when the doughnuts and gold fish came out, I saw a lot more smiles!

All the kids! Grandma had the right idea with bringing all her grandkids some yummy, sugary doughnuts to put smiles on their faces! Well... most of them :)

Mom and daughter time...

Sibling rivalry never grows old!

When I said gold fish, yes, I meant real gold fish! The kids had grandma to thank for this creative gesture. Some real live gold fish at the photo shoot... and the kids got to take them home!!

And last but not least... the whole gang!

Waugh Wedding

These good-looking newly weds should be arriving back home today from their honeymoon, so I thought this would be the perfect time to post a little preview from their big day! Minus the scorching temps and humidity, it was a beautiful day! One of the things I love about going through all of the wedding photos I take for couples, is seeing how they interact with each other within the images. Every now and then, you get that couple that you know is just crazy about each other, because in the many candid photos from the day you catch one looking at the other and not paying attention to anything else that's going on around them. Frank and Megan were definitely one of those couples! These two make a beautiful couple inside and out, and they brought many smiles to my face as I edited their images. Here's a quick summary from the day...

Seeing each other for the first time...

The ceremony...

We were able to walk from the church to the reception across Mass Street in downtown Lawrence. Check out these awesome attempts at our synchronized jumping!

If you are looking for a cool place to hold your reception or event Maceli's, located behind Mass Street in downtown Lawrence, is wonderful!

Frank and Megan... Thank you SO much for allowing me to capture your day for you! You guys were great to work with! Many more photos to come!!
