Jessica & Justin

I felt so honored to photograph this couple's big day! I've known Jessica for a very long time, and I got to know Justin much better when we did their engagement photos earlier this year. So, with that said, I may be a little biased, but Jessica made one gorgeous bride. I think I could post an entire blog entry on just photos of her, but I can't give them all away! Here's a little look at some of my favorite shots and moments...

All eyes on the bride...

Everyone's favorite moment...

A little congratulatory handshake from a very proud dad...

I stole the couple from the dance floor to do a few night shots outside of the reception hall. When we were walking back in, a horse carriage pulled up and offered us a few minutes to take some photos with the horses. If you know Jessica, you know that she loves horses, so it made for a very exciting moment!

The Basgall Family (well, part of the family)

If you know me, you know that I absolutely LOVE dogs! So you can imagine what a joy this shoot was for me! I get excited when anyone wants to include their pets in their photos, but I've never had three big guys like these at one time. They were a handful, but I had so much fun with them! I just couldn't help but share a few photos of the Basgall dogs, and also share a couple of my girl Riley!

Who could resist a puppy face like this one?!

Now that you've met the Basgall pups, here's a look at the Hodge pup! I can't tell you how many pictures I take of this girl! She's quite the poser though, almost always sitting with her front paws crossed (very lady-like of her!).

Madi

In doing outdoor photos, you just never know what the weather is going to do. I always carry a couple of umbrellas around in my car just in case it starts raining, but don't often get the chance to really use them. During Madi's session, the clouds rolled in quickly, so we grabbed the umbrellas and stayed out as long as we could. She even braved the rain without cover for a few shots, kicked off her shoes, had a little fun splashing around!

Did I mention it was also a little windy? I love this shot below simply because of the way the wind came up and caught Madi's shirt, making it look like she's got a little Marilyn Monroe dress going on!

Amanda & Evan

After some really gloomy Saturdays, we finally had a very beautiful fall day! The leaves were bright orange and yellow, and the sun came out from behind the clouds just enough to keep us warm. Not only were Amanda and Evan fun to work with, I also got to see some old friends from Manhattan! That's right, even though I'm in the Lawrence area now, I'm still a Wildcat at heart. Here's a little peek at Amanda and Evan's day...

These photos are hilarious! I tell everyone to do something funny on the count of three, and it's always interesting what we turn out with!
